Tender for invitation for a handicrafts mall

Ujjain. The Zila Panchayat has re-invited a few tenders for the preparation and arrangements of the Hastshilp Mela, which will be held at the Kalidas Academy premises from 3 to 14 December.

According to a news report, only two agencies had applied for the arrangements such as security guards, CCTV management, design and decoration. As the number of applicants was inadequate, the Zila Panchayat has invited the tenders again.

The report adds that, according to Ajay Balse, in charge of the mela arrangements, the relevant tenders will be opened on 6 November. The tenders for tents, lights, swings and so on have already been opened.

The Hastshilp Mela is a traditional event in which traders from various states of the country take part and sell handmade articles. Through this event, traders get an opportunity to sell their products, and the Zila Panchayat earns revenue.

The mela is an important opportunity for local residents and visitors to do some shopping and see traditional handicrafts.
